Tuesday, June 12 is our next (and last) Stake Camp Meeting!
7:00 pm in the Stake Center Relief Society Room

We want you there if you are a YCL (that means you are or will be a Laurel by August 31st), Stake Staff, Tent Mom, or Ward Camp Director!

Stake Camp Meeting - May 8th

Boring meeting?  See what we have in store for you on May 8th! 

Our next Stake Camp Meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 at the Stake Center.  We welcome all Stake Staff, Tent Moms and YCLs.  This will be an experiential evening of learning, sharing and growing!  (fun, fun, fun!)  See you there!

What is a YCL?

YCL stands for Youth Camp Leader.  A YCL is a totally amazing 5th or 6th year camper . . . like these 4 Young Women!  Kylie, Maddie, Elizabeth and Lydia were brave enough to come to our Stake Camp meeting so they could tell us what the Young Women of Pasco Stake want to have happen at camp this year!  YCLs are known to help Tent Moms, Stake Staff, Level Leaders and the younger girls with all kinds of things (you'll see)!  They are great at multitasking and they put on an amazing evening program with their many talents!

Ward Camp Directors!

We have some pretty awesome Ward Camp Directors!  They come equipped with lots of personality as you can see in these pictures! After getting them calmed down over the excitement of being a part of Girls Camp we were able to finally get a "mature" picture that we all could be proud of . . . we think!

We would like to introduce to you Jan Barron (8th Ward), Karrie Truman (4th Ward), Megan Nieforth (2nd Ward), Vicki Hyde (3rd Ward), Nadine Mitchell (SR Ward), and Heather McGary (6th Ward).  Be sure and let these wonderful women know how much you appreciate them and their efforts in making sure you get to camp prepared!

CAMP SONG

Fa la la . . . Good Day Everyone!  Our camp song this year is "A Light That's Pure" by Dan Carter. It is found in the January 1998 New Era.  1998! Yes, it was written and composed before many of you Young Women were born! Some of us going to camp have fond memories of earlier years.  Anyway, the song complements our theme and we are excited to hear our whole camp sing it as we shine forth! Our camp theme this year goes along with the 2012 mutual theme from D&C 115:5 "Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations."  We are excited to see you at camp this July as we all  . . .

Our last camp DVD (2010 Camp Zarahemla) is now in your ward!  Plan a time to watch it together as Young Women!  Share the memories and don't forget to tell the "new" girls what an amazing experience camp is!  Don't forget the popcorn!
